The Process

  • We come into your home for a free evaluation.
  • We come to a mutually beneficial agreement, it has to be a win-win for everyone.
  • At this point we photograph items, that are visually pleasing and begin the marketing process.

Once We Are Hired

  • Our crew comes into your home and we begin the Tate Estate Sale Process.
  • We go through every item you have asked us to sell, on your behalf. We ask that this is clearly delineated and begin sorting items.
  • If We Find Items Of A Personal Nature We Set Aside For Your Review
  • Once we have sorted, we bring in all our merchandising paraphernalia and begin setting up tables and the display process happens.
  • Once items are grouped and displayed we take more photographs and continue to market for you on several different online estate sale venues, Facebook, Craigslist and more.

The Day Of The Sale

  • We put out, ample, clearly marked Tate Estate Sales signs to not only help people find us, but to bring in more customers.
  • Depending on the amount of items and if you have items that appeal to the resale market, you will see a huge line out the door (we provide a sign up sheet in order to monitor entry.)
  • We always open at 9:00 am sharp and close at 3:00.
  • People will be greeted by a friendly upbeat and helpful staff.
  • Our staff attempts to describe to every person that enters your home, the highlights of your sale. As well as any areas that are not to be entered. 
  • Also We Make Descriptive 8.5 X 11 Signs Reiterating These Same Facts.
  • Typically we have a steady flow of traffic and constant transactions. Some more than others. This depends on the merchandise and desirability.
  • At the end of the sale we deduct our starting cash, and begin tallying all the funds from, credit card transactions, cash, checks (we only take checks from people we know or you have accepted) and cash.
  • We then will provide you with a daily profit sheet, or at the end of the sale depending on what best suit your needs?

After the Sales Over

  • Depending on your needs, we can provide you with an excel spreadsheet of all the large and super valuable items with a box marked miscellaneous sales for the smalls.
  • Along with your final numbers (if requested) we send you a check within 30 days per our agreement. Typically we get it to you within a week (but this depends on how extensive your records are.)
  • That last thing we ask of you, is a reference! We love our customers and strive for you to be pleased with our services.
  • After all, Service is our best product!
